This morning we had a quite interesting lecture about marketing held by Kay van de Linde and Erik van Bruggen. I could really relate to that through my studying by involving consumers, costumers and so on, so I think that we had some very interesting discussions. I’ll come back to that later…
Riding the scooters
We all couldn’t wait to go ride the scooters and suddenly we got our first ride today - yeah:) Our first big trip was for more than two hours on the countryside and we ended up at the Lingen Nuclear Power Plant. We had a very nice table with a lot of cakes wishing the hungry riders welcome :) Afterwards we had a lecture by three of the clever men from the place learning us a lot in a humorous way. The discussion afterwards showed that people were really up to that very touchy topic! This is one of the interesting things they learned us: at the moment we need fossil fuels or “non renewable” energies to create a base load and a back-up to support the sudden lack of renewable energies (like onshore wind energy) - thanks to Erik from Holland, with the proud name of a Danish king and knowing all the important Danish words ;)
Campaigning
The thing from the marketing speech that we can really use as an important point of view later on on this trip is the thing about involving the people, we want to reach by our manifesto! After a fabulous diner we were seperated into groups to brainstorm about the shift 2 theme: Automotive Industry. We had a very hard time trying to communicate our most important topics out in a short time!
By the way, check out the homepage of my very environmental friendly chair (made as a study project in collaboration with 5 other girls): www.ecochair.dk.
